The American made Eze-Lap diamond sharpeners, as the name suggests, use a diamond abrasive surface to sharpen knives and a range of other tools. There are two options. One is a conventional round style, designed to keep an edge, the other a flat steel that can be used for creating an edge and keeping it. The latter can be used to sharpen not only knives, but scissors, axes, mower blades, hatchets, hooks, chisels, and shears. There are two grit grades available – fine and superfine. Designed specifically for fishing large soft-baits such as the 10” Catch Livies in deeper water, the Catch Harrier elevator-style jigheads are designed in New Zealand for local conditions and angling preferences. There are three weights available – 168g (6oz), 112g (4oz) and 56g (2oz). The two lighter options are rigged using 5/0 stainless hooks, the 168g with a 7/0 hook. The rigs are finished with a ‘glow-in-the-dark’ coating that makes them more visible at depth. There is a second attachment point for the addition of a replaceable assist hook or in-line rigging hook. On both the drop and retrieve, the heads produce a darting action that adds to their fish-attracting capabilities.
