New Zealand Underwater Association has launched its New Zealand Diver Survey and if you are in the water with mask, snorkel and fins, with or without a tank, you are a diver and the Association want your opinion!

It would like as many snorkelers, scuba divers, spearfishers, free divers, and underwater sports participants to take part as possible, including fishers who occasionally jump in the water for kai-gathering or have done so in the past.

The purpose of the NZ Diver Survey is to learn more about the recreational dive market in New Zealand and to understand current levels of safety awareness and knowledge of diving practices. The survey will also help identify areas that need more focus.

The Association wants your thoughts on issues like maintaining a healthy marine environment through to favourite dive destinations.

The survey hopes to better understand the main reasons people go diving, and how they can be supported to ensure they continue to enjoy the underwater world.
